Even if you’re certain you were born to be a facility manager, no one is born a facility manager, nor is anyone trained to become one through theory alone. In my daily practice, I benefit considerably from my training in the skilled trades, in emergency medicine, and from the international stages of my education. And from my background as a career changer and lateral thinker, which can be read from my CV.

Reporting line: directly to the management (CEO and COO). Management responsibility: approx. 20 employees. Assumption of responsibility for the technical, infrastructural and commercial operation of a portfolio in Germany with more than 440,000 m² GFA and a value of EUR 1.05 billion.

Management responsibility: Eight facility managers (technical and disciplinary) for more than 340 NORDSEE stores in Germany and Austria

Lecturer at the Westfälische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Lecturer for the module “Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) with four semester hours per week.
2008 –
2013
Consultant for CAFM software at Axxerion Services BV, Heteren, Netherlands. Cloud computing provider for facility management, ITIL, real estate, ERP and maintenance software. Established the first 100% web-based CAFM software in the highly competitive German market for facility management software.
