The challenge
The expansion of the services offered by the subsidiary “avitea industrieservice GmbH”, which was founded by the Hella Group, involved a wide range of tasks during the start-up phase. For example, external expertise was needed to set up the “Technical Facility Services” business area, CAFM software had to be procured and the start-up management had to be supported in the context of property takeovers.
The solution
Facility manager Peter Schmidt was commissioned to tender and implement a CAFM solution and to support the start-up phase during the technical and personnel takeover of a logistics site. In addition, numerous property inspections were carried out to collect data, determine preventive maintenance measures, determine the costs of maintenance, servicing and testing of safety-relevant building technology and support the new employees in the respective start-up. Other tasks included supporting the recruitment of staff, evaluating the technical systems to be taken over (system status in the life cycle), supporting occupational health and safety in the system-based recording of all work equipment and advising on fire protection, hazardous substance management, hygiene requirements in canteen operations and environmental protection and water management issues. The project was concluded with advice on expanding the range of services offered by avitea Industrieservice GmbH in the third-party market outside the Hella Group and coordination with the service recipients in the Hella Group on the expectations of service quality and service content.
