The challenge
A specialist for facility management during construction was sought for the new fresh food center construction project at the EDEKA logistics site in Malchow on the Mecklenburg Lake District.
The solution
By commissioning Der-Facility-Manager Peter Schmidt, an experienced facility manager was embedded in the construction project organization. Weekly inspections and participation in construction planning meetings enabled the construction progress to be monitored and qualitative improvements in execution to be demanded. Furthermore, the start-up management was supported by drawing up training plans, checking the as-built documentation and accompanying the commissioning and briefings. The result was a faster start of operations with significantly improved quality in the documentation, also for a subsequent CAFM project.
