The challenge
As part of a parental leave replacement for the responsible facility manager at IKEA Wuppertal, a solution was required for the continuation of the technical and infrastructural facility management of the sales outlet.
The solution
Thanks to an interim facility management mandate, Peter Schmidt was able to continue the comprehensive tasks in regular operations and facility management without interruption. In addition to day-to-day operations, this also included service provider management, warranty management for the new building and the rectification of defects following expert inspections of the safety-relevant technical systems in the Wuppertal store.
At the end of the interim phase, all outstanding tasks were transferred to the responsible facility manager at IKEA as part of a structured handover and documentation on the completed projects was handed over.
