The challenge

SIBA GmbH is a medium-sized family business from Lünen / Westphalia that produces high-voltage, low-voltage and Ultrarapid electrical fuses. With around 500 employees, the company generates an annual turnover of 100 million euros. During an ongoing tender for the vacancy of a facility manager, a construction project had to be supported immediately.

The solution

By integrating Der Facility Manager Peter Schmidt into the new construction project for a high-bay warehouse, the planning and construction process could be supported directly and supervised until completion (commissioning). Numerous interfaces in production, warehousing, refurbishment of the existing building and commissioning of the individual trades were also supported. For example, the sprinkler system was supported throughout all construction phases, from planning, tendering, awarding, installation, testing, acceptance, commissioning and training of the operating team in line with the life cycle. When the new facility manager started work, the entire documentation as well as the previous tasks were successfully handed over in the form of a comprehensive induction and support to complete the project.
